Our Philosophy of Coffee:
We believe that a great cup of coffee is one of life’s little luxuries that everyone should be able to enjoy. Whether you are a dark roast fan or light roast fanatic; brew your coffee on the drip machine you bought a decade ago or utilize the newest cold brew slow drip beakers, we believe that the best coffee is the kind that you enjoy. The diversity of ways to make a “good cup” is a truly beautiful thing.
We’ve also noticed that as the specialty coffee industry has matured, prices have risen exceptionally while at the same time the size of the product has consistently shrunk. A 16 oz bag became a 12 oz, and now are getting even smaller — all while the price tag has stayed the same.
Don’t mishear us: high-quality beans that are refined and finessed by skilled craftsmanship deserve — and should demand — a top-shelf price. The problem is that too many specialty roasters are charging premium prices for coffee that’s good, but not truly great. It’s our mission to disrupt that part of the industry: to keep everyone honest, put more money back in your wallet, and more coffee in your cup. We commit to always source above-average beans, roast them thoughtfully, and offer them to you at a price that earns and keeps your trust.
Our Mission:
From the farm to the cup to the use of revenue we believe that having a higher focus is good for business. We agree with the statement that the engine of capitalism can be either the best or the worst mechanism for improving the standard of living for people. We are committed to “paying it forward” when customers trust us to meet their coffee needs in the following ways.
Producing a more perfect product that customers will love again and again.
Source and price ethically so that those doing the hard work (looking at you coffee farmers!) will be able to enjoy an adequate reward for their hard work.
Turn profits into social improvement by partnering with organizations that are trying to solve big social impact problems.
